SET DESIGN FOR THEATER: HOW SPACES TELL STORIES WITH SASHA SCHWARTZ
Saturday, August 9 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
This course will provide an interactive overview of a set design process for theater, from script analysis and research to scale model ideation and storyboarding. It will prioritize hands-on artistic exploration, design as an empathetic practice, and the creative power of a collaborative and mixed-media approach to theatrical storytelling.

A CRASH COURSE IN HAT MAKING FOR THE ENTHUSIAST WITH BRIAN RUSSMAN
Saturday, August 16 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
This class will introduce participants to the breadth of possibilities in the millinery arts. A discussion about ways of creating, decorating and finishing headwear will be sprinkled throughout the day-long experience. We will do a deep dive into blocked straw and each member will leave with a finished product.

FROM CONCEPT TO CURTAIN: THE ESSENTIALS OF THEATRICAL COSTUME MANAGEMENT & PRODUCTION WITH MATTHEW TORBETT
Saturday, August 23 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
This one-day workshop will explore theatrical costume production from the standpoint of management, discussing topics such as clean paperwork, effective budgeting, material procuring, and team leadership. Best practices for fittings and operations will also be discussed. The course will feature both interactive lectures and hands-on activities, providing participants with knowledge and hard skills to be able to more effectively pursue a career in costume administration.
