For Arts Landing, Clayton and Lewis present Bird Circus, a new large-scale commission exploring the poetic, often precarious relationship between humans and birds. Evoking the form of perches, platforms, and circus apparatuses, these abstract structures are imagined as invitations: for birds to rest, for humans to look up, and for unexpected moments of convergence between species.

About the Artists

Lenka Clayton is a British-American conceptual artist known for poetic interventions into daily life. Phillip Andrew Lewis is an American interdisciplinary artist working at the intersection of research, sculpture, and time. Based in Pittsburgh, the duo has collaborated on major public commissions nationally, blending curiosity, precision, and a quiet sense of humor in work that invites new ways of seeing the world.
