For Early Childhood/Early Elementary Educators: Discover how to take a more active role in the dramatic play scenarios in your early childhood classroom! During this highly interactive workshop, participants will learn how to tap young children’s love of imaginative play to spark meaningful explorations of STEM topics by using teacher-in-role techniques. Practitioners will identify simple strategies for assuming dramatic play roles, adapting informational texts into dramatic scenarios and asking rich, open-ended questions that empower children to apply critical thinking skills. Workshop will be lead by Wolf Trap Master Teaching Artist, Christina Farrell.
