Visit Arts Landing
Arts Landing is free and open to the public year-round.
Location and Hours
Arts Landing is situated between Fort Duquesne Boulevard and Penn Avenue, from 8th to 9th Street in the Cultural District of Downtown Pittsburgh.
Visit anytime between 7 am and 10 pm.
Rules and Regulations
The following activities are prohibited in Arts Landing. The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust reserves full discretion over all activities.

- Visiting when closed.
- Feeding or attempting to touch birds or other wildlife.
- Operating drones in Arts Landing air space, even if licensed to operate.
- Attaching or affixing items to signage, trees, plantings, poles, fences, or structures.
- Camping, grilling, cooking, use of candles, or open flames of any kind.
- Participating in unofficial organized sports. 7. Riding skateboards, hoverboards, segways, rollerblades or bicycles.
- Riding, staging, or parking of all electric and/or motorized scooters.
- Leaving children unattended or unsupervised.
- Obstructing entrances, exits, and walkways.
- Smoking, including use of vape pens or electronic cigarettes.
- Consuming alcohol, unless provided by concessionaire.
- Weapons of any kind, including, firearms, knives, bats, and clubs
- Fighting, throwing of objects, or disorderly conduct of any kind.
- Fireworks and smoke bombs.
- Laser pointers.
- Clothing displaying explicit, profane, or derogatory characterizations
- Using obscene language or gestures. 19. Coolers, backpacks, duffle bags, or luggage of any kind.
- Possessing or using drugs or illegal substances.
- Playing amplified sound, performing or busking, conducting any commercial activities, distributing materials, or vending without a rental agreement or prior permission from the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust. For more information on renting Arts Landing, click here.
- Hosting an event, photoshoot, flashmob, or party (regardless of size) that involves outside decor or furniture, food and beverage, floral arrangements, or any other kind of props or equipment without prior permission from the Trust. For more information on renting Arts Landing, click here.
- Use of third-party event or prop service companies without prior permission from the Trust. For more information on renting the Arts Landing, click here.
- Commercial photography, film, or video shoots without a location agreement or prior permission. For more information on renting the Arts Landing, click here.
- Loitering, panhandling, or sleeping.
- Climbing on public art, sculptures, or trees.
- Entering plant beds and gardens and picking or removing flowers or natural materials.
- Relieving your dog in plant beds or on lawns. Dog relief and exercise areas are located at Fort Duquesne Blvd and 9th St. You must pick up after your pet. All pets must be on a leash no longer than six feet at all times. Pets may be prohibited from certain areas or during events.
- Rummaging in trash or recycling receptacles.
- Glass containers.
- Littering.
- Spitting. 33. Defacing, tagging, graffiti, stickers, gum, or affixing of any damaging material to public space assets.
- Discriminatory or racist, sexist, ageist, or ableist language or behavior of any kind.
- Nudity or acts of indecent exposure.
- Dumping, including liquids or ice, into plant beds or common areas.
- Erecting tents or other structures, staking into lawns or plant beds, or driving poles or flags into the ground.
- Use of confetti, silly string, glitter, bounce houses, or PiƱatas.
- Balloon or paper lantern releases.
- Leafletting, posting signs, petitioning, solicitation, or demonstration without prior permission from the Trust.
- Amplified or disruptive noise without prior permission of the Trust.
Trust staff and security have authority to enforce all rules, in their sole discretion. Visitors failing to comply may be asked to leave or face penalties.
