Spend a day off campus and explore the arts in the Cultural District!

Undergraduate and graduate students are eligible for ticket discounts of up to 50% off select Pittsburgh Cultural Trust performances. The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust is the premiere performing and visual arts organization in Pittsburgh's Cultural District.

Broadway and Theater

  • The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust presents an impressive lineup of musical theater year-round, including PNC Broadway in Pittsburgh and other theatrical hits from the Cohen & Grisby Trust Presents and Trust Rentals lines.

This year, expect to save big on shows like Friends! The Musical Parody, a hilarious spin off of the sitcom favorite, The Phantom of the Opera, a timeless Broadway classic, and Cruel Intentions, the musical rendition of the 90s romantic thriller flick.

Ballet and Dance

  • Each year, the Trust's Pittsburgh Dance Council selects a lineup of world-class dance companies to perform in the city.

This year's selection includes performances by Paul Taylor Dance Company, a leading company in the contemporary dance scene, Camille A Brown & Dancers, the prolific choreographer whose work examines the cultural narrative of the African American identity, and Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo, a playfully entertaining production of drag ballet.

Live Music

  • The Trust-presents an impressive selection of live music all year round. In addition to our weekly free BNY Mellon JazzLive events and free musical performances at the annual Dollar Bank Three Rivers Arts Festival, we offer live concerts for fans of all genres.

Exciting discounted offers to expect this year include a chance to see the famous RENT duo, Adam Pascal and Anthony Rapp, as they celebrate 20 years friendship and perform iconic hits, as well as a live performance by Moonchild, the LA-based band whose music intersects alternative R&B, jazz, and neo-soul.

Lectures and Talks

  • As proponents of education through the arts, the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust frequently invites notable influencers and literary figures to present their talks to the public, either as part of a Trust-run festival, or as individual talks.

This year, enjoy a student discount for the MLK Special We Shall Overcome, a moving mix of African American music interwoven with spoken word from Dr. King’s recorded speeches.
